Poison Ivy/Oak
Rub the inside of a banana peel on rash. Apply a mud pack and rinse off when dried.



Poisoning
Take ipecac syrup or vegetable charcoal tablets for food poisoning. Always check with poison control or a hospital.



Phlebitis
Drink mullein tea and add the softened mullein leaves to the limbs.



Phobias
Bach Flower Remedies.



Posture
Keeping your head down and your shoulders slumped not only causes bad posture, but a bad outlook as well. Think positive, keep your chin up and back straight.Place a book on your head for three minutes a day. This will help your posture.



Psoriasis
Do a cleanse and keep your body alkaline.



Scarring
Vitamin E, cocoa butter, peanut oil



Sciatica
Eat raw sauerkraut every day. Take Vitamin B-1 and eat plenty of garlic.



Shingles
Liver, Vitamin B, goldenseal



Shin Splints
Massage your legs and take the homeopathic remedy Ruta graveolens.



Shock
B Vitamins and Bach Flower Remedies.



Skin
For dry skin take Vitamin E and apply on skin. Also use cocoa butter, and peanut oil. For gangrene, apply lots of honey on the area.



Sleep Problems
Warm milk, melatonin or valerian work for me.



Sore Throat
Gargle with apple cider vinegar and water or salt water. Drink 1 teaspoon full of cream of tartar and 1/2 cup of pineapple juice. Also see Hoarseness and Laryngitis



Stings/Bites
For a jellyfish sting, apply beer. For a bee sting or mosquito bite apply meat tenderizer



Stomachache
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of cornmeal. Let sit for 5 minutes, add salt and drink. Or slice an onion and boil in milk and then drink.



Stress
Take B vitamins.



Stuttering
Try to take deep breaths and speak slower than your thinking. B vitamins may help with the stress. Also check out Bach Flower Remedies.



Substance Abuse
Vitamin B-3 is said to help. For smoking, try taking a half teaspoon each of Rochelle salts and cream of tartar in a glass of water before breakfast. Chew ginger root and swallow the juice. Chew on cloves. For alcoholism look at that link.



Sunburn
Cool off with apple cider vinegar spritz. (diluted ice tea works well too) Or make a concoction of equal amounts cold milk and ice add a dash of salt and apply on a washcloth. For a small area, cool with water and apply applebutter.



Sweating (excessive)
For excessive sweating, take silcea. To absorb the sweat use cornstarch.



Teeth and Gums
For tooth pain take vitamin B-1 and use a poultice of either horseradish, cayenne pepper or cloves. Alafalfa tabs (3 a day) will help prevent cavaties. For bleeding gums, rub lemon rind on them and teeth. Bloodroot (may stain teeth), 3% hydrogen peroxide and saltwater make good rinses for gum problems. Take Vitamin C for healthy gums. For loose teeth, drink parsley tea.

Take cayenne pepper in glass of water.

Varicose Veins
Boil water and pour over mullein leaves and then apply the soften leaves to the varicose veins.



Warts
Apply clear nail polish to smother the wart. Take colloidal silver.



Water Retention
Drink More water. (See the Water Cure under Links).



Wrinkles
Vitamin E and peanut oil. Apply milk of magnesia to the face and neck, let dry and wash off.
